The Elm of Affric

£350

This painting depicts The Elm of Affric, thought to have survived Dutch Elm disease only because of its remote location. With its human-like “face”, it’s reminiscent of the mythical tree creature, The Ent, in Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings, and is often referred to as The Ent of Affric. Frame adds 15cm to each edge.
