A self-taught Scottish artist, Andrew's paintings are intended to convey emotion while maintaining ambiguity.
Growing up in Ayrshire during a resurgence of Scottish art, Andrew is inspired by local stars including Peter Howson and Ken Currie. He favours a confident use of colour and the impasto method. Andrew’s paintings are held in a number of private collections in the USA, France and the UK. His work was selected by jury for the 70th Annual Open Exhibition of the Chelsea Art Society.
