Beth Horner

Beth Horner Landscape artist of the year series 2023

Personal and found imagery is reimagined in Beth’s eerie documentations of domestic life. Areas of heavy texture created using plaster strips and acrylic mediums are added to her usual surface of cotton rag paper, which warp spaces that sit beside finely painted details. Her paintings of interiors often hint at the outside creeping in, whilst in her landscapes the draw to home is a recurring theme.

Beth graduated from the Royal College of Art with an MA in Painting in 2020, having received a BA in Painting from Wimbledon College of Art in 2017.
