Brian Steventon

Brian Steventon Landscape artist of the year series 2016
biography

From an early age Brian found that drawing and painting came naturally to him. He studied Art throughout his early years until his career moved into Engineering, Design and Management. Nevertheless, throughout his life he has honed and developed his own artistic style. He has exhibited his work throughout the UK.

Brian collects information directly from the subject, as sketches or sometimes as finished work. His subject matter is wide and varied. He is a responsive artist who paints expressively, stretching his vision into a semi-representational or abstracted work. Colour, shapes and space are important drivers.

He exhibits widely throughout the UK and his work is featured in Stephen Fry’s “Kingdom” series and the Who’s Who in Art 2010. He also produced a range of works for the Black Country Living Museum. His work is in numerous private collections internationally.

Brian is also an elected member of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists, The Easel Club, Birmingham Watercolour Society and Birmingham Art Circle. He has tutored throughout the Europe as a lead tutor for Authentic Adventures.
