Nomadic David uses his fresh style to bring attention to the everlasting themes of nature and the wild.
David enjoys exploring the countryside in search of the indescribable atmosphere present in wild places, historic landscapes affected by dramatic weather and light, and the excitement of sudden encounters with wildlife. Although traditional subjects for artistic inspiration, David employs a contemporary and graphically dramatic style to renew attention to timelessly important themes, using the medium of watercolour, gouache and pencil crayon.
There is an emphasis on detail and craftsmanship within the artwork, but expressing sensation is prioritized over photographic accuracy.
David has painted and exhibited his work continuously for over twenty five years, is published by GreenPebble greetings cards and has created artwork for the cover of BBC Countryfile magazine.
Currently living in a caravan in the woods of mid-Wales, he is prepared to travel to discover new landscapes and undertake commissions.
