Davide Di Taranto

biography

Davide’s artworks range from fine miniature portraits to large scale paintings, ceramics and sculpture. He studied fine art in Italy and has worked extensively in the restoration of paintings. His current work not only demonstrates his intimate knowledge of Renaissance artistic techniques, but also explores his interest in a wide variety of issues, influences and themes including the protection of the environment, Japanese images of the sun as the giver of life, and portrayals of masculine identity. He is an associate member of the Royal Society of Miniature Painters, Sculptors and Gravers. He has worked and exhibited across the world, from Seattle to Hiroshima.
