Desmond Reid
biography
Desmond is a Belfast based painter who has exhibited widely in Ireland, mainly in figurative work.
Desmond’s work spans five decades including the ‘Troubles’ in Ireland. His work has been exhibited in major venues including the RUA, Belfast Waterfront Hall (solo show of 100 paintings, retrospective) The Ulster Hall, University of Ulster, Queens University Belfast. Solo exhibitions also in Limerick, and Kerry at a literary festival.
His work has had media reports, including the BBC, the Irish News, Belfast Telegraph.
Desmond’s work is in many private collections.
