Eleanor is a realist pencil artist who’s unconventional approach to the grid method creates portraits unlike any other.
Eleanor has been drawing all her life, with an unwavering dedication for graphite pencil work. Graduating with a BA in Fine Art from the University of Leeds in 2021, Eleanor has since continued to live and work in the city. She exhibited in the ING Discerning Eye exhibition in 2020, and will again this year, and was shortlisted for the RBA Rome Scholarship in 2022. Currently holding her studio residence in Armley, she works on both commissions and original ideas, though not all of her work is exclusively portraiture based. Having cultivated a unique method and process of working, she is moving into exciting new territories with her drawing style.
