Gary Eite

Gary’s background is as a commercial interior-designer, which influences his work in terms of colour and composition, coupled with a love of urban and industrial landscapes.

He works mostly in lino-print but also in etching and watercolour to capture his sometimes gritty and moody subject matter. He finds sketching an initial design on-site gives a real insight into the location and setting for his artwork.

You will often find him under flyovers or trying to get closer to steelworks and factories to feed his inspiration. He also finds inspiration in the natural world as a complete opposite to his other works; capturing walks in the local woods and pathways, or combining these two forms together where nature has taken over an industrial landscape.
