Iythar is an Egyptian-British fine artist and published author residing in the UK.
Iythar is a graduate of painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Cairo. She likes to reflect upon concepts and subjects that go unnoticed by most, and to explore surrealist, abstract and conceptual painting approaches. She also works intricately with calligraphy with her own stylistic scripts.
Although Iythar commonly uses oil on wood, she does not restrict herself to a particular medium or method of painting. Throughout her work she tries to bring forth stories, moments in time, to capture a memory or feeling. She is also well noted for her portraiture work and has received several commissions.
Her paintings are uniquely tied to her belief, spirituality and the heightened awareness of life and the meaning of struggle. Her work can be found in private and public collections throughout Egypt, the UK, Austria, Australia, USA, UAE and many European countries. She resides in London.
