Jacqueline Gartlan
biography
Jacqueline is a self taught artist, based in Tipperary, Ireland, working primarily with oils.
Jacqueline’s interest lies in evoking an emotional response to her work. She is intrigued in what and who has gone before, and that influence in the now. She is interested in what lies beneath the surface and strives to capture a sense of place or being.
She regularly takes on portrait commissions, both human and animal, and enjoys experiencing the love someone has for the subject, an emotion she believes adds to the process and the finished painting.
