Jonathan Hargreaves’ work combines the painterliness and visual inventiveness of abstract painting with the tradition of hard-won observation.
Jonathan’s work is measured yet embraces a sense of sprezzatura. His focus is on mass, scale, colour and atmosphere and above all composition. Wanderlust is a recurring theme.
Recently held solo shows have been in Oxford, Manchester and Stockport.
