British-Japanese Painter-Printmaker Lisa uses everyday subject matter on which to hinge colours and textures as a means of creating visual poems about beauty that often goes unnoticed.
Lisa’s favoured mediums are printmaking, watercolour and oil painting, and frequently combines processes in multi-layered, experimental works.
Lisa is based in Somerset where she has lived for the past five years. Her work has been exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition on four occasions, and she has also exhibited with the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers, the New English Art Club, the Royal Society of British Artists, the Royal Watercolour Society and the Society of Women Artists. Alongside her art practice she writes regularly for the Jackson’s Art Blog and runs painting and printmaking workshops in Somerset and Bristol.
