Portraiture and figure drawing are key elements of Lucy's practice. She enjoys working with characterful and expressive faces, and tries to capture a sense of mood and emotion through mark-making and tone.
Lucy Bartholomew graduated from Camberwell College of Arts in 2008 with a BA (hons) in Fine Art; Drawing. She lives and works in Kent, UK, and has been working as a secondary school Art teacher since 2010.
Lucy works with a range of media including drawing, painting and printmaking. She produced a single-layer, monochrome lino print portrait of Nish Kumar in Portrait Artist of the Year 2021.
