Luke's work is large scale tattooed steel with oils.
Luke is an artist based in Essex. He has created a distinctive new method of creating work through the process of tattooing on steel in combination with traditional painting techniques. With his subject matter and methods, he provides the potential for the viewer to explore through a new lens – turning the familiar into the unknown.
Scale also plays an important role in Luke’s practice as most of the recent work is around 7ft tall and many are polyptychs, aiming for the viewer to be fully absorbed.
