Paul Alcock

Paul-Alcock Landscape artist of the year series
biography

Paul has loved painting and drawing from a very early age and counts himself fortunate to be making a living as a working artist and art-tutor.

Working mainly from direct observation en plein air, he sets up his easel on the pavement, beach, quayside or field and then paints with the light. He portrays the character of a place and the activities that go on there, painting his personal experience of the world in a fresh and compelling way.

Paul’s work hangs in private and corporate collections around the world and he often takes on commissions.

He has won several plein air painting awards as well as winning the Essex Open in 2013. He exhibits his work regularly and has been a long-standing member of the Leigh Art Trail in Essex.
