Penny paints in high colour and texture, capturing landscape 'happenings.'
Penny started painting at the Central School of Art and Design, combining a love of landscape with abstraction. After leaving she worked as a street artist, drawing portraits in Central London. Portraiture continued to be a thread throughout her career, but since running her own galleries in Deal in Kent, and painting recession- busting murals in Deal and Herne bay, figures are combined with a large depiction of space and atmosphere. Her theme is to turn a moment in time into a ‘happening.’
