Shalewa Olayiwola

Though she currently works in psychological services, Shalewa has always had a passion for art and creativity. She began her journey with art as a child, where she would spend hours practicing drawing various individuals. 

She currently specialises in charcoal drawings and oil paintings, and has a particular passion for portraiture; she enjoys the process of watching a painting come to life when painting their faces. 

With a professional background in psychology, she loves to incorporate elements of her work into her artistry, creating portraits that convey a message relevant to mental health.

Her current credentials include appearing on Portrait Artist of the Year, and taking part in a local exhibition that celebrates black artistry.
