Zoe Beaudry

biography

Zoe is a figurative painter based in Detroit, Michigan. Her practice examines existential questions related to selfhood and individuation, and is informed by fourth-wave feminism, contemporary mysticism, and philosophy of mind.

Zoe completed her BA at Kalamazoo College in 2014 and received her MFA from the Glasgow School of Art in 2018. Her work has been included in exhibitions across the US at locations including Chicago City Hall, ArtPrize in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and SCOPE Miami; as well as internationally at venues such as the Mall Galleries and Piano Nobile Kings Place in London. She has traveled extensively and held workshops for youth in Tulkarem, Palestine, Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and Kalamazoo, Michigan. 

Zoe featured on Portrait Artist of the Year in 2018. She has since undertaken residencies at Kriti Gallery in Varanasi, India (2019) and The Forge in Detroit (2020), and presented solo exhibitions at ARC Gallery in Chicago (2022) and Playground Detroit (2023).
