Iceland#1 is part of a series of large landscape paintings I created after a trip to Iceland in March 2023. The paintings are a collection of impassable natural landmarks / mountain ranges, which when I first saw them left me speechless. I have used this colour pallet across most of my work throughout 2022 / 2023. It has served me well so far and brings a mellow glow to what was a cold and harsh subject.
