This painting was inspired by Laura’s daily walks around Little Bear and Big Bear Lake, in Vernon Hills, Illinois. An oasis in suburbia, these small lakes had an abundance of natural beauty, teeming with wildlife. The soft blue background is painted around the deep edge of the canvas.
