Rocks at Anstey’s Cove

Oil on braced panel with wooden frame. This is a studio painting of a local scene in Torquay, inspired by a plein-air painting trip. The composition is meticulously planned, and then painted with a classical glazing approach over a traditionally prepared glue chalk gesso.
