James Robinson

James at a young age always wanted to be an artist. He started by making and selling greeting cards aged sixteen until he gradually became a self-taught illustrator, whilst tutoring art privately and teaching workshops and after-school classes. By twenty-three he had saved enough to attend Florence Classical Art Academy for a year where he deepened his knowledge in the fundamentals of drawing and painting. On his return from Italy he continued teaching and working freelance until I received an Artist in residency at Haileybury School in 2021, where he currently teaches and works from his little studio.
