Self Portrait, In Red Tinted Glasses

£500

This self-portrait is in a monochromatic palette, painted from life while wearing a pair of red-tinted sunglasses throughout. I found the glasses in a second-hand shop and loved the way they made everything red and thought it would be a really interesting challenge to try painting in them. I am quite a pessimistic person and enjoyed the irony of “looking at the world through rose-coloured glasses” so to speak.
