Gorse Up the Bank 2

£900

My work is a response to the places I visit, where I have emo6onal connec6on and a need to capture what I see. In this piece I wanted to capture the sparse flowering of the leggy Gorse against the vivid blue sky. I love the contrast between the chao6c energe6c textures in the foreground and the elegance of the delicate structures above. I have built up layers of marks, layering and scratching, pain6ng over, re-exposing in order to represent the feeling of being there; the movement, the elements, energy, the textures, the colours.
