I became increasingly interested in the hedgerows and undergrowth. Lockdown(s) have given me the luxury of time to notice the more subtle changes created by weather, light and seasons. Focusing on areas that are often overlooked and just passed by. In this painting I was interested in capturing the layers of shapes, lines and textures. The beautiful rich colours within a limited palette. Seeing the beauty in this pile of weeds.
